	SUNDAY 9th NOVEMBER 2008 -- Bike Club Moray Monster Trip A day out with the Ballater Mountainbike Club! Ride along the trail centre near Fochabers. Contact CycleHighlands in Ballater for further details.
December 2008
	WEDNESDAY 24th DECEMBER 2008 - Santa Claus and his Reindeer! All children - and adults, too - are invited to see hte reindeer on the Church Green in Ballater on Christmas Eve from 2.09 - 3.30 pm. Come along and enjoy some sweets and the Christmas mood! The reindeer will leave the village for the Hilton Craigendarroch at 3.30.

THURSDAY 1st JANUARY 2009 -- Bike Club New Year's Whisky Ride
A day out with the Ballater Mountainbike Club! Ride along the trail centre near Fochabers and enjoy a wee dram at the top of a local peak to welcome 2009! Contact CycleHighlands in Ballater for further details.

9th to 15th MAY 2009 - Royal Deeside Golf Week

SATURDAY 16th to 22nd MAY 2009 - Royal Deeside Walking Week
A festival week of organised walks from an easy stroll to a longer, more strenuous walk! The programme for 2009 is currently in progress but full details can be found at Ballater Walking Festival as they become available. Thursday 13th AUGUST 2009 - Ballater Highland Games at Monaltrie Park
12.30pm, Adults £6, Juveniles £2, Car Parking £1
Traditional Highland Games - this year is the 136th event with competitions, highland dancing, bagpipe music and heavy events. A great day to participate or spectate! Enjoy the Games and carry on into the evening at the Games Concert at 8pm and the Games Disco at 10pm both in the Victoria Halls in Station Square. Victoria Week 2009

A fun week for the whole family! Highland Games, a Parade of Vintage & Classic Cars and Floats, a Golf Putting Competition, Guided Walks, 4x4 Safaris, Cycling, History Tours, Musical Events, the Ballater Book Fair, our very popular Ghost Tours and so much more!
